Job summary

Tharaldson Hospitality Management is hiring a Guest Service Agent at the Ritchie Station Residence Inn in Capitol Heights, MD. You will greet guests, check them in and out, answer calls, and help maintain a warm, organized lobby.

Excellent customer service skills and reliability are required. The role offers hourly pay between $16.00 and $18.00, with benefits and the potential for growth across Tharaldson’s growing portfolio of hotels nationwide.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Check guests in and out and assign rooms.
• Answer phones, route calls, and accurately take guest messages.
• Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns promptly.
• Handle guest information and records with confidentiality and integrity.
• Maintain accurate cash and transaction records.
• Complete required front desk paperwork, logs, and reports.
• Perform property walks and help maintain a clean, welcoming lobby and common areas.
• Assist with breakfast service and keep the area clean and stocked.
• Provide wake-up calls and assist guests with special requests.
• Communicate important guest and property information to the team via the pass-on log.
• Support hotel sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager.
• Assist with laundry and other hotel operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
