Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to join the Assets Protection team. You will help create a safe store environment, assist guests and team members, and deter theft by following AP policies and using surveillance tools.

A high school diploma and 18+ age are required. The role involves standing and lifting up to 40 pounds, flexible hours including nights and weekends, with training and benefits available. Starting at $19.00/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Meet any state or local licensure/other legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests and team members at the front of store and on the sales floor.
• Lead a physical security culture by maintaining safe standards throughout the store.
• Respond to and document security incidents.
• Use escalation tools for guest issues to provide a safe environment.
• Conduct merchandise protection and support shortfalls per AP policies.
• Prevent theft by performing receipt checks for high-dollar items.
• Document all incidents in the system per AP policy.
• Operate the video surveillance system and train others as needed.
• Assist in merchandising protection and shortage focus opportunities.
• Execute shortage action plans set by AP leadership.
