Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help protect guests, team members and assets through proactive surveillance and crisis response. You will greet guests, de-escalate situations, and support peers while maintaining a safe store environment.

The role requires clear communication, the ability to work independently and in a team, and physical capability to handle shifting schedules, including nights and weekends. Starting pay is $20.25/hr.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners and tech equipment.
• Capable of maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly guest experience while greeting and assisting customers.
• Respond to security incidents and document cases promptly in the system.
• Promote a safe, secure store environment and assist teammates as needed.
• Perform merchandise checks and support theft prevention according to policy.
