Target is seeking a Security Specialist to support a safe guest and team environment and protect store assets. You will welcome guests, monitor for safety issues, and document incidents using AP policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Meet state/local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members.
• Learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests and team members at the front of store and on the sales floor; help guests find products in-store and online.
• Lead a physical security culture for team members and guests; maintain safe and secure standards store-wide.
• Respond to and document security incidents.
• Understand and leverage escalation tools for guest issues to provide a safe environment.
• Conduct merchandise recovery and provide apprehension support as needed.
• Prevent theft and shortage at the front of store by performing receipt checks for high-dollar merchandise.
• Submit documentation in the system for all incidents following AP policy.
• Understand and use the video system.
• Train team members on merchandise protection and audit execution.
• Teach team members about shortage focus areas and opportunities as directed by AP leadership.
• Execute shortage action plans to minimize shortages in focus areas.
• Model safe working practices and maintain a clean store for guests and team members.
• Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• All other duties based on business needs.
