Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to protect guests and team members, deter theft, and support safe store operations. You will investigate incidents, document findings, and use surveillance to maintain a secure environment while delivering friendly guest service.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a high school diploma, able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends, and comfortable with physical tasks in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state or local licensure requirements (if applicable).

• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners.
• Effective communication, teamwork and independent work abilities.
• Capable of handling fast-paced, physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with needs to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Resolve guest issues and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Document incidents accurately in case management systems.
• Use video surveillance and security controls as part of daily duties.
• Assist in theft prevention and merchandise recovery following policy.
• Maintain safe and secure store environment and exterior areas.
• Collaborate with team members and other areas as needed.
