Target is seeking a Security Specialist to protect guests, team members, and the brand across store operations. The role emphasizes friendliness, de-escalation, and swift incident documentation while maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Candidates should be 18+, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and be capable of operating handheld scanners and video surveillance systems. Flexible shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays, with comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.

Responsabilités

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by greeting and assisting guests.
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft and provide a warm, helpful interaction.
• Help guests find what they need or resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support peers and maintain a positive attitude across the store.
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe standards storewide.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Leverage de-escalation tactics across the store.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed.
• Prevent theft by performing merchandise receipt checks and communicating trends.
• Submit documentation in the case management system per AP policy.
• Understand and use Target's video surveillance system.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work safely and report hazards.
