Job summary

Ivy Hospitality is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team and ensure top-quality cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas. You will coordinate with front desk, engineering, and other departments to deliver timely service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include inspecting rooms, managing linen inventories, training staff, and maintaining daily records while upholding safety policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years housekeeping experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills.
• In-depth knowledge of hotel services and facilities.
• Ability to stand and walk for nearly 100% of the working day.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and occasionally push/pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
• Must have manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and perform cleaning/inspection tasks.
• Requires bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching as part of routine duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of room cleaners, ensuring prompt and efficient cleaning of guest rooms according to company standards.
• Inspect all cleaned rooms, including VIP and early morning make-up rooms, to ensure they meet company standards.
• Collaborate with front desk, engineering, banquet services, and room services to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Prepare and follow up on maintenance work orders related to repairs or replacements in guest rooms and public areas.
• Assist in quarterly inventory of linens and ensure adequate supplies.
• Ensure guests are treated courteously and address room changes promptly.
• Maintain safety standards and adherence to policies; manage keys and bloodborne pathogen procedures.
• Assist with training and direction of new housekeeping staff.
• Keep records of checkouts and stay-overs; submit daily reports to housekeeping.
