Position Overview

The Guest Relations Manager oversees the management and daily operations of the Guest Relations department. This role is critical for ensuring the seamless movement of guests in and out of the hotel. The ideal candidate is flexible, proactive, resourceful, efficient, and maintains a high level of professionalism.

Essential Functions
  1. Lead and manage the Guest Relations team effectively.
  2. Ensure staff are briefed on arrivals, VIPs, and daily group activities.
  3. Build and maintain positive relationships with local community leaders and vendors.
  4. Stay informed of community offerings to enhance guest experience.
  5. Provide excellent customer service throughout guests' stay.
  6. Hire, train, and schedule front desk associates.
  7. Develop and implement procedures to improve operations and communication.
  8. Order supplies and manage inventory levels.
  9. Communicate and develop front desk staff to meet standards consistently.
  10. Perform additional duties as needed based on business requirements.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience in a luxury hotel.
  • Exceptional guest recovery skills.
  • Enjoy interacting with people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software.
  • Dependability and flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements

The role involves walking and standing most of the day, with the ability to exert mobility for up to 6 hours. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and lift up to 35 lbs. Manual dexterity and repetitive motions are also required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000, excluding incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, HSA and FSA options, DTO, disability insurance, and hotel discounts.
