Callaway Resort & Gardens is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs across guest rooms and hotel spaces to keep facilities safe, functional, and guest-ready.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of general maintenance experience.
• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality-related environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and guest-ready environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and complete routine repairs.
• Must be able to remain professional and composed in stressful or high-pressure situations.
• Must be capable of handling guest complaints and disputes and working toward satisfactory resolutions.
• Must be willing and available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work extended hours when business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance inspections of hotel guest rooms on a rotating basis.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of designated areas and complete required maintenance checklists.
• Ensure all items and equipment within guest rooms are fully operational prior to guest check-in.
• Inspect and verify that electrical outlets function properly and lighting fixtures and TVs are working.
• Address guest concerns and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Identify maintenance, safety, or repair issues and take corrective action.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
