Job summary

The Salvation Army Omaha Kroc Center is seeking energetic individuals to join our team as Welcome Desk specialists. You will deliver hospitality, check-in guests and members, and drive membership activity through relationship-building.

Responsibilities include upselling programs, onboarding members, conducting tours, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, welcoming space. A high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in customer service are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least two years customer service experience.
• Proficient in English; effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class hospitality at the Welcome Desk.
• Check-in guests and members; support retention through relationships.
• Upsell programs and memberships with exceptional service.
• Meet membership and program sales goals through team effort.
• Be knowledgeable about center programs and memberships.
• Onboard new/past members; contact and engage to build relationships.
• Conduct informative tours; explain center policies to visitors.
• Handle communications professionally and confidentially; follow through.
• Report concerns to supervisor; ensure timely follow-up.
• Assist security/management during emergencies; complete incident forms.
• Process payments: fees, passes, gift cards; operate membership software.
• Cross-train on Scholarships policies; provide support as needed.
• Maintain a clean, stocked Welcome Desk and common spaces; light maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
