• Ability to perform basic retail math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Safety first: follow safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain safe, clutter-free sales floor and clear egress to exits.
• Treat customers and associates with respect and courtesy; greet customers.
• Assist customers at the register and with merchandise; answer questions politely.
• Respond promptly to customer service inquiries and escalate to leadership when needed.
• Represent and support Ross Stores brand.
• Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning fixtures) to maintain store appearance.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Conduct daily merchandise replenishment and recovery per guidelines.
• Expedite new merchandise receipts to the floor following monthly presentation guidelines.
• Understand loss prevention policies and store protection standards.
• Safeguard confidential information and cash handling processes.
• Follow MOS and disposal procedures for merchandise.
• Maximize productivity by following store best practices.
