Job summary

Ivy Hospitality is seeking a Houseperson to support the housekeeping team at Holiday Inn Express Chillicothe East, ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for guests and associates.

You will maintain public areas, restock carts, and deliver linens and supplies, while responding promptly to guest needs and collaborating with other departments to enhance service.

Strong communication and physical stamina are important, as are flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Experience: Prior experience in a housekeeping or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including standing, lifting, bending, and pushing heavy carts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests and associates professionally and respectfully.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs. Commitment to upholding Ivy Hospitality’s standards for cleanliness and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public areas' cleanliness and organization.
• Deliver linens, supplies, and amenities to housekeeping staff promptly.
• Assist with trash and soiled linens management and guest requests.
• Restock carts and storage areas.
• Communicate with the housekeeping team to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Assist with deep cleaning and other special cleaning tasks.
• Follow safety and chemical handling procedures.
• Report maintenance needs or safety hazards observed during daily duties.
• Ensure courteous guest interactions per company standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve service delivery.
• Participate in daily hotel operations meetings.
• Perform duties as assigned by the General Manager/Department Leader.
