Job summary

Ivy Hospitality is seeking a Houseperson to support the housekeeping team by maintaining public areas, replenishing supplies, and assisting guest needs. The role emphasizes attention to detail and proactive service to create a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include restocking carts, delivering items to staff, handling guest requests promptly, and upholding safety protocols. The position requires physical stamina and flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to interact with guests and associates professionally.
• Ability to stand, lift, bend and push heavy carts.
• Flexible to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas (lobbies, hallways, restrooms).
• Deliver linens, supplies, and amenities to housekeeping staff promptly.
• Assist with removing trash and soiled linens from carts/storage; respond to guest requests promptly.
• Restock carts and storage areas with necessary supplies.
• Communicate with housekeeping team to prioritize tasks.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects and other cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures for cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Notify supervisor of maintenance needs or safety hazards observed.
• Ensure courteous and professional guest interactions in line with standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Participate in daily hotel operations meetings and support hotel strategy.
