Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure guest rooms and property equipment are in good repair and the premises stay pristine. You will follow Green Shield Binder procedures and coordinate with management to meet company standards.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, responding to guest requests, maintaining safety equipment, and assisting with emergencies. The role requires vigilance, basic math, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently.
• Follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and company guidelines.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Perform basic arithmetic and unit conversions.
• Use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues per policy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to guest and associate experience.
• Work with minimal supervision to complete duties per standards.
• Respond to guest requests with diligent follow-through.
• Perform cleanings to keep premises pristine as per Green Shield Binder.
• Repair items listed on work orders promptly and professionally.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Follow Green Shield schedule and SOPs to finish tasks on time.
• Maintain organized maintenance areas and inventory.
• Ensure fire safety equipment is operational and inspected.
• Assist with emergencies at the property or sister sites.
