Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Engineer to perform preventative and repair maintenance in a Washington, DC area hotel, ensuring quality and sustainability standards while delivering warm, guest-focused service.

The role involves inspections, basic electrical/plumbing tasks, HVAC care, and maintaining records. Schedule may vary, including holidays or weekends, with opportunities for growth along the Engineering path.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and Trade school coursework preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture and fixtures.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and Federal codes.
• Assist in guest service during peak periods and cover shifts when needed.
