Job summary

The Morrow Hotel Washington, DC Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking an Engineer to perform preventative and repair maintenance to uphold quality and sustainability standards while delivering warm, guest-focused service.

Responsibilities include room inspections, wall repairs, painting, electrical fixture work, plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and record-keeping, with flexibility to cover peak times and support guest satisfaction scores.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; trade school coursework in related field preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install, replace and program televisions; install and repair lighting fixtures and wiring.
• Perform minor plumbing functions and repair heating and cooling pumps; conduct preventive maintenance.
• Trace and repair water lines and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records; ensure work complies with codes.
• Be attentive to guest satisfaction scores and support departmental and hotel satisfaction."
• Work as a bell attendant during staffing shortages or peak check-in/out periods.
