Job summary

The Westin Waltham Boston is seeking a friendly restaurant team member to provide exceptional guest service. You will greet guests, take and relay orders, and use the POS system to ensure accurate tickets. You will handle beverages, upsell desserts, and deliver meals with care.

Responsibilities include maintaining station cleanliness, promoting menu items, and delivering a high standard of service in a fast-paced dining room. Benefits and scheduling support are provided by HEI Hotels and Resorts.

Qualifications

• Professional appearance and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Willingness to pitch in and help coworkers as a team.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to lift and carry trays up to 30 lbs.
• Operate beverage and toast equipment and POS accurately.
• Communicate effectively with guests, supervisors and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and promotions.
• Input the order into the POS system and relay details to the kitchen.
• Retrieve and deliver orders with condiments and verify accuracy.
• Handle alcoholic beverages in compliance with laws and policies.
• Replenish beverages and assist with desserts and specialty coffees.
• Present the check and close out the sale in a timely manner.
