Job summary

Kroger is hiring for a Cashier/Checker position at 505 Dacula Rd, Dacula, GA. The role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, operating the checkout, and maintaining a clean, safe environment to encourage repeat visits.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, handling multiple tender types, following store policies, and staying informed about ads and promotions. Previous experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in a visible, friendly manner.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow posted policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; adhere to food safety regulations.
• Identify unsafe conditions or needed repairs and notify management.
• Provide product knowledge to answer customer questions across the store.
