Job summary

Kroger in Lilburn, GA is hiring a friendly Cashier/Checker to greet customers, ring up purchases, and provide quick, accurate service at the check lane. You will handle cash, checks, credit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers using the POS system, while following company policies and loss-prevention guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the check lane and assist as needed.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Handle tenders (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) according to policy.
• Adhere to cash limits/overages and loss-prevention procedures.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol, tobacco, and restricted-item guidelines.
• Report pricing discrepancies and maintain promotional materials.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures; identify and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist in equipment checks and repairs as needed; maintain a welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines; work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
