Job summary

Kroger is seeking a customer-service oriented Cashier/Checker to provide an outstanding experience in our Rome, GA store. You will greet customers, assist with questions, and process transactions at the checkout efficiently while using the POS system and following all company policies.

Prepare to handle various tender types, maintain loss prevention standards, and help keep the store clean and safe so customers feel welcome and valued. Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in-store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sale items, and loss prevention.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure a safe, clean environment.
