Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the checkout area.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle payments (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Follow company policy on cash handling, shortages, and loss prevention.
• Adhere to age-restricted item guidelines (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Communicate pricing discrepancies and follow posted policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; ensure food safety regulations are followed.
• Promote a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
