Job summary

Kroger is seeking a helpful cashier/checker at our Thornton, CO store to provide outstanding customer service and accurate checkout experiences. You will greet customers, process transactions, and adhere to store policies including restricted items and loss prevention.

Maintain awareness of ads, safety procedures, and equipment while helping customers feel welcome and valued in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time opportunities are available at this location.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers at the check lane
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons)
• Adhere to cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted item guidelines
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Adhere to food safety regulations
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and report repairs
• Answer questions to help customers feel welcome and valued
