Job summary

Kroger is seeking a friendly, customer-focused cashier/courtesy clerk at our Louisville, CO store to greet customers, ring up purchases, and provide helpful service. You will process a variety of payment methods and maintain store policies and safety standards.

Experience with POS systems, attentive service, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. This on-site role offers part- and full-time scheduling options and opportunities for growth within the Kroger family.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons and loyalty offers.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Maintain awareness of ads and promotions; adhere to food safety regulations.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management; support equipment maintenance as needed.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to create an inviting store environment.
