Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality is seeking a courteous restaurant team member to serve food and beverages, take and verify orders, and input them into the POS system. Deliveries include condiments and desserts, while adhering to all safety and liquor regulations.

You will assist with bussing, side work, and general cleaning to maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction. The role requires a friendly demeanor, reliable attendance, and ability to handle variable shifts due to hotel operations 24/7.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations for serving alcohol.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card or be in the certification process.
• Hold a valid TABC license.
• Basic knowledge of English to understand inquiries and give instructions.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Familiarity with appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment such as a coffee maker.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous manner and explain specials or promotions.
• Record and repeat guests' orders to ensure accuracy.
• Input orders into the POS system and communicate with the kitchen.
• Retrieve and deliver completed orders with condiments to guests.
• Comply with liquor regulations and abstain from serving minors or intoxicated guests.
• Replenish beverages and suggest desserts or specialty coffees.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables and perform side work.
• Follow health, safety and security procedures; present the check promptly.
• Support other restaurant staff as needed.
