Job summary

Midas Hospitality is seeking a Restaurant Server to join its Food & Beverage team in Oakland. The role centers on delivering welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive service to guests in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people and supporting a memorable dining experience, with opportunities for growth within a leading hotel management group. Flexible scheduling is required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant, food service or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and events.
• Alcohol service or food handler certification preferred where required by local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming and friendly dining experience.
• Present menus, explain offerings, answer questions about ingredients and prep.
• Take orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly with accuracy and presentation.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concerns.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Process guest checks and handle payments following procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas and stations.
• Complete opening, closing and side-work duties per standards.
• Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and health regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bartenders, hosts and team members.
• Stay knowledgeable on specials and hotel offerings.
• Support banquets, catering or events as needed.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
