Job summary

CRAVE in Bloomington, MN seeks a Restaurant Manager to lead HR functions, train staff, and ensure guest satisfaction. The role oversees recruitment, scheduling, and performance management, while maintaining service quality and safety across dining areas.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience, strong customer service, and familiarity with POS systems. This is a salaried position (exempt) with a 50-hour work week across seven days, with hours varying by location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of supervisory experience; including alcoholic beverage service.
• Experience managing POS systems and daily cash controls.
• Operational knowledge of the cash register, cash handling procedures and reconciliation of multiple cash banks and reports.
• Strong customer service experience and quality standards.
• Ability to supervise and motivate others; knowledge of supervisory practices.
• Effective communication, problem solving, planning, organizational and creative skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks and multi-task under interruptions.
• Conformity to high standards of integrity and ethics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Aloha, Compeat, Tripleseat and Hotschedules a plus.
• ServSafe or Health Dept certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive interaction with guests and maintain relationships.
• Manage HR: recruitment, selection, orientation, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Implement two-way communication systems; conduct pre meal, weekly and monthly meetings.
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients and service teams.
• Ensure timely meal service, food quality, safety, and cleanliness; supervise service.
• Respond to guest complaints in person or via email.
• Schedule staff and approve shift pickups in Hotschedules.
• Train staff to perform duties effectively.
• Brief front-of-house supervisors before service for complete staff communication.
• Maintain knowledge of service requirements, menus, ingredients, appearance and presentation.
• Participate in employee meetings, reviews and development.
• Assist with events on and off property.
