• Processes transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
• Operates POS system and handles cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons according to policy
• Follows loss-prevention and cash-handling guidelines
• Adheres to laws and company policies on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Reports pricing discrepancies and explains promotions to customers
• Maintains product knowledge and stays current with ads and seasonal offers
• Complies with safety guidelines and reports hazards or equipment in need of repair
• Provides friendly, helpful service to create a welcoming store environment
• Works cooperatively in a fast-paced setting and handles conflicts calmly
