Job summary

Kroger in Virginia Beach is seeking a Customer Service/Cashier to deliver outstanding service at the checkout and help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment. You will greet customers, process transactions and follow policies for restricted items and promotions.

The role requires basic math skills and prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is a plus. This on-site position offers flexible part-time or full-time opportunities and a path to growth within Kroger.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow POS procedures.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; adhere to safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist customers as needed.
