Job summary

Merlin is seeking a Model Maintenance Technician to build, repair and remove LEGO models for LEGOLAND attractions. You will interact with guests daily, follow design briefs, and keep work areas safe and organized.

The role requires hands-on design experience, travel to sites as needed, and the ability to teach building techniques in a classroom setting. Ideal candidates have attention to detail, strong safety focus, and enjoy working with guests.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on design or craft experience with LEGO models and reading attraction briefs.
• Comfortable interacting with guests and teaching building techniques.
• Knowledge of safety policies and ability to react calmly under pressure.
• Experience reading drawings/briefs and aligning with model shop directions.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, repair and remove LEGO models for park attractions.
• Interact with guests regularly in a fun and inclusive manner.
• Inspect models for safety hazards and ensure downtime minimized.
• Follow design briefs from internal customers for attraction needs.
• Operate basic tools and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Travel locally/regionally as needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Maintain knowledge of modern techniques through training.
