Job summary

Merlin Entertainments is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the attraction running and deliver amazing guest experiences. You will maintain and repair a wide range of systems and themed attractions, including audio-visual technology, lighting, HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of maintenance experience and is flexible for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a technical or themed entertainment environment.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain attraction equipment, rides, exhibits, and building systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
  • Repair or replace control devices, lighting systems, projector lamps, doors, and other facility components.
  • Apply technical expertise to minimize downtime and maximize attraction availability.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment for exhibits.
  • Assist with exhibit installation, setup, and breakdown.
  • Ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently for guests and team members.
  • Complete painting, wall repairs, furniture assembly, custodial tasks, and general facility upkeep.
  • Install and maintain networking and data cabling infrastructure.
  • Monitor building systems and identify, correct, or report safety concerns.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces while following all safety standards.

Maintenance Technician Keep the Attraction Running. Create Amazing Guest Experiences.

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for maintenance, technology, and troubleshooting? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and play a key role in ensuring our attraction operates safely, efficiently, and seamlessly for every guest who walks through our doors.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of systems, equipment, and themed attractions while helping deliver unforgettable experiences. From audio-visual technology and lighting systems to hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical equipment, you'll be at the heart of keeping the attraction performing at its best.

The ideal candidate at least 2 years of maintenance experience and be open to a flexible schedule based on attraction needs and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Specific shift times can vary depending on preventative maintenance and operational needs.

What You’ll Do
Maintain and Repair Attraction Systems
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain attraction equipment, rides, exhibits, and building systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
  • Repair or replace control devices, lighting systems, projector lamps, doors, and other facility components.
Support Outstanding Guest Experiences
  • Apply your technical expertise to minimize downtime and maximize attraction availability.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment for both new and existing exhibits.
  • Assist with exhibit installation, setup, and breakdown activities.
  • Ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently for guests and team members.
Facility & Operational Support
  • Complete painting, wall repairs, furniture assembly, custodial tasks, and general facility upkeep.
  • Install and maintain networking and data cabling infrastructure.
  • Monitor building systems and identify, correct, or report safety concerns.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces while following all safety standards and procedures.
