Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation in New Orleans seeks a Food and Beverage Attendant to gracefully run breakfast and evening social venues, set up and break down buffet areas, and deliver warm, guest-focused service. You’ll maintain clean stations, stock supplies, and support hotel meetings with timely service, while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications include prior F&B experience, English fluency, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and willingness to work mornings,

Qualifications

• Some previous food and beverage experience preferred.
• Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is required; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Will be required to obtain a ServSafe certification.
• May be required to obtain a TIPS certification.
• Will be required to work mornings, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up, service, and break down buffet areas to ensure quality and consistency.
• Transport food, beverages, supplies to buffet areas.
• Monitor supplies and replenish buffet items as needed.
• Follow presentation standards and temperature controls.
• Welcome guests proactively and respond to requests promptly.
• Maintain clean, organized work and buffet areas.
• Report unsafe equipment or safety hazards.
• Assist in the set-up and breakdown of meeting rooms.
• Serve and maintain all hotel meetings' food & beverage service.
• Adhere to health, sanitation, and alcohol standards.
