Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in New Orleans is seeking a Room Attendant to support the housekeeping team by cleaning guest rooms and public areas in accordance with brand standards. You will make beds, dust, vacuum, sanitize bathrooms, and assist with laundry tasks as needed.

The role requires morning/evening shifts, weekends and holidays. This position offers growth within a fast‑growing hotel group with comprehensive benefits and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; other languages beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the Sonesta Service standards in all interactions.
• Respond to guest requests and ensure satisfaction.
• Clean and service rooms and public areas per standards; assist with laundry as needed.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed and report any issues.
• Operate laundry machines and handle linens and supplies as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, minimize waste, and support deep cleaning as needed.
• Report safety issues and communicate with shifts and management.
