Job summary

Green Thumb Industries (GTI) and RISE Dispensaries are seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to serve as the welcoming face while ensuring safety, compliance, and guest-first service in a fast-paced cannabis retail setting.

You’ll blend hospitality with security, manage check-in, deter incidents, de-escalate conflicts, and support store operations across shifts, including mornings, days, nights, and weekends. Previous customer-facing or concierge experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of customer-facing or concierge experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and/or compliance technology preferred.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus when paired with a strong commitment to guest-first, hospitality-focused service.
• Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (i.e., ability to work a schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends) to meet business needs.
• Must have reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance.
• Must pass all required background checks including state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
• Possess valid driver's license or state ID.
• Must be 21 years or older and meet all state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors warmly and manage efficient check-in while ensuring compliance.
• Set the RISE Vibe from entry and provide basic concierge-level support.
• Deter incidents with an approachable presence and monitor entry/exit and perimeters.
• De-escalate situations with empathy and communicate clearly.
• Escort customers and support safety, cleanliness, and guest flow.
• Collaborate with store teams and train new APS team members.
• Report safety or compliance incidents promptly.
