Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Guest Services Associate in California to serve as the primary contact for members, guests, clients, volunteers, and visitors at the Red Shield Center and Corps campus. Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or diploma in progress.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to members, clients, guests, volunteers, and visitors.
• Welcome visitors, respond to inquiries, direct to programs and services, and create a welcoming environment.
• Process memberships, registrations, reservations, and retail transactions accurately.
• Maintain cash-handling policies: balance tills, prepare deposits, and document transactions.
• Promote memberships, programs, activities, events, and services to help guests find opportunities.
• Conduct facility tours and explain amenities, program offerings, and membership benefits.
• Build positive relationships through professional, courteous communication.
• Assist with event preparation, room setups, and program activities as assigned.
