Job summary

TPAC is seeking a part-time Usher to support front-of-house operations and ensure a positive guest experience. You will assist with seating, ticket taking, and safety protocols, coordinating with Guest Services and Accessible Services teams.

The role emphasizes professional presentation and excellent customer service in a busy arts venue. Weekend evening availability is required, and onboarding plus training shifts will be completed.

Qualifications

• Availability of 4 shifts in a 2-week period with a 4-hour minimum.
• Daily email access is required.
• Professional and neat presentation in a guest-facing role.
• Enjoys working with the public.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests by giving directions, assisting with seating, ticket taking, observing, and attending to guests’ needs.
• Supports Guest Services Management & TPAC’s Accessible Services Team.
• Works alongside TPAC Volunteers as needed to support overall guest experience.
• Communicates and educates guests on venue and event policies both internal and those requested by the event.
• Listens to guest inquiries and resolve any issues in a helpful, respectful, responsive, and professional manner.
• Checks their assigned area for potential safety concerns, cleanliness, lost and found items, and report to your immediate Supervisor.
• Assists with both the Security and Safety Department along with the Guest Services Department in safely evacuating audiences out of the venue as needed.
• Provides a courteous and welcoming environment for both guests and fellow team members, promoting a positive work environment.
