Job summary

Watson Clinic is seeking an attentive front desk Patient Access representative to warmly welcome patients, verify demographics and insurance, and schedule appointments across multiple specialties. You will check-in, collect co-pays, and assist with billing while maintaining HIPAA privacy.

Training GEN staff and coordinating desk coverage are also part of this role. The ideal candidate has strong customer service, excellent communication, and proficiency with Epic scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in medical scheduling preferred.
• Experience with Epic scheduling system and patient access workflows.
• Proficiency in HIPAA privacy and patient information handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at registration, verify demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule, check-in, and assist with billing and payments using Epic.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate with providers and staff.
• Train and orient new-hire GEN staff and coordinate coverage at reception desks.
• Monitor wait times, coordinate staffing, and handle special projects as directed.
