Position Summary
This position will deliver a unique, engaging, and entertaining experience to all guests and is responsible for providing exemplary service in a professional and courteous manner. This role will also deliver a positive guest experience, creating memorable moments for visitors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing operating policies and procedures for the Guest Experience Department.
- Collaborate with Guest Experience Management to review customer satisfaction and trends, anticipating needs and meeting guest expectations.
- Observe and report daily facility conditions and situations to Guest Experience Management.
- Assist in developing and implementing staff scheduling to ensure efficient coverage.
- Ensure all staff receive their scheduled breaks and maintain daily coverage.
- Maintain the facility's cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards.
- Work with Guest Experience Management to ensure all admission and sales data is accurately captured for reporting.
- Monitor and manage guest flow to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Achieve all guest experience targets.
- Lead the Guest Experience team to deliver memorable experiences.
- Assist in implementing training programs to enhance guest service quality.
- Train and develop team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Engage and empower team members to reduce turnover and improve retention.
- Motivate and inspire staff through role modeling, feedback, recognition, and communication.
- Oversee on-the-job training programs to meet business needs.
- Supervise subsidiary attractions such as Ropes Course, Mirror Maze, and Selfie Express.
- Supervise other areas like Merchandise and Photography as required.
- Collaborate with internal and external departments to ensure a seamless guest experience at Union Station.
- Work with the Life Sciences Department to uphold animal welfare and care standards.
- Coordinate with the Life Sciences Department and Aquarium Foundation to ensure exhibits and programs engage and educate diverse audiences.
- Partner with the Aquarium Foundation to ensure volunteers and educators provide excellent guest service and engagement.
Qualifications
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- One to two years in a supervisory role, preferably in tourism or hospitality industries.
- Experience supervising teams is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership skills and proven experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making abilities.
- Commercial awareness and ability to anticipate guest needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Energetic and eager to take on new projects and ideas.
