Job summary

Conrad New York Downtown is seeking a Guest Service Agent to join the Guest Services Team in Lower Manhattan for a temporary assignment. You will greet guests, assist with registration, and guide them to their rooms while maintaining the high standards of the Forbes 4-Star property.

Responsibilities include handling check-out, processing payments, answering questions with hotel knowledge, upselling services, and resolving issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest information and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet, and ensuring the guest knows the location of their room or arranging a bell person.
• Assist guests with check-out, handling money, processing payments (credit/debit), accepting and recording various forms of payment, converting currency, making change, and processing gift certificates.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel information to answer guest questions about rooms, rates, packages, promotions, and local area.
• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolving issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Field guest complaints, conduct research and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
• Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests.
