Job summary

The Bethesdan Hotel by Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Front Desk Agent to join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest service. You will greet guests, assist with check-in/out, and provide information about the local area. This role requires PM shifts, weekends and holidays, and an hourly rate of 18.00.

Hilton experience is a plus but not required. Training and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years: customer service (preferred).
• 1 year: Hotel experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and complete the registration process to include inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet and ensuring guest knows location of room and/or has a bell person accompany him/her
• Assist guests with check-out including ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, using the POS system, handling money, processing payments, accepting and recording various forms of payment, converting foreign currency, making change and processing gift certificates and cards
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel information including room types, rates, packages, promotions and local area; answer guest questions
• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues promptly and friendly
• Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction
• Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests
• Support Crescent Hotels & Resorts culture and guest service excellence, including health & wellness programs and travel discounts
