Job summary

The Woodlands Resort is seeking a Front Desk/Guest Services Associate to deliver exceptional guest service at the front desk and switchboard. You will handle calls and guest requests with professionalism and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include greeting guests, routing inquiries, processing wake-up calls, and maintaining calm, clear communication. Strong verbal and written skills and solid computer abilities are required.

Qualifications

• Must communicate well with guests.
• Ability to patiently deal with associates and customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to sit and continuously perform essential job functions in confined spaces in close proximity to other associates with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls promptly with a positive voice.
• Direct calls to the correct extension using the computer console.
• Transcribe messages and verify accuracy.
• Input and retrieve messages from the computer.
• Page guests and respond to emergencies and requests using radios.
• Act as dispatcher for security and guest services.
• Remain calm during emergencies and heavy hotel activity.
• Complete wake-up calls accurately and timely.
• Comply with attendance rules and perform other duties as assigned.
