Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels seeks a Guest Services Agent at our Miami Beach property. The GSA delivers consistent Sonesta Service at the front desk, acts as the first brand ambassador, and supports the Operations Manager during shifts, handling guest inquiries and front desk technology with professionalism.

You will register guests, issue keys, manage cash and card transactions, assist with reservations, upsell rooms when appropriate, and collaborate with other shifts to sustain exceptional

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of hotel or retail customer service experience.
• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking; other languages beneficial.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems.
• ServSafe certification and possibly TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service according to the G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Register guests, issue keys, and provide information; answer phones politely.
• Process cash and credit card transactions; post charges and prepare deposits.
• Maintain security of cash, cards and guest information.
• May book reservations; upsell rooms and manage cancellations/revisions.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies and coordinate with shifts.
• Promote teamwork and ensure guest needs are met across shifts.
• Serve the shoppe and pour; comply with alcohol laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
