Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation in Miami Beach seeks a Front Desk Agent (Finance) to deliver Sonesta Service at the front desk and support the Operations Manager.

You will handle guest check-ins, cash handling, and inquiries while maintaining security and guest satisfaction across shifts. Requires English fluency, basic math, and willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of previous hotel experience, or retail customer service preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe and TIPS certifications may be required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services.
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Process cash and credit transactions per procedures.
• Maintain security of cash, cards, and guest information.
• Assist with guest reservations and upsell rooms when possible.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies for pricing and availability.
• Collaborate with shifts and departments to ensure smooth service.
• Support shoppe and beverage service following local laws.
