Job summary

Ashford Inc. is seeking a Front Desk Agent in Frisco, Texas to warmly greet guests and handle check-ins/outs with accuracy. You will assist with pre-registration, block reservations, and ensure proper charging on daily transactions.

A strong team spirit and reliability are essential for providing outstanding guest experiences. Knowledge of front desk systems, handling cash, and processing reservations—including same-day requests and cancellations—are key requirements for this role.

Qualifications

• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Team-oriented with a focus on guest experiences.
• Comfort with desk-based computer tasks and cash handling.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel.
• Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.
• Post all charges accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain working knowledge of Front Office systems for daily transactions.
• Manage cash handling including cash, checks and credit card information.
• Review reservations with special requests and block rooms as needed.
• Know hotel rates, discounts and how to apply them; take same-day reservations and follow cancellation procedures.
