Job summary

Hyatt Regency Coralville is seeking a courteous Front Desk Associate to warmly welcome guests, check them in/out, and address questions about the hotel and local attractions. You will handle cash with accuracy and coordinate with other teams to ensure seamless stays. Prior hospitality experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, positive and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stay calm and solution-focused during busy situations.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn hotel systems.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the front office.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
• Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately.
• Answer questions about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services.
• Handle guest requests with patience, professionalism, and care.
• Input and retrieve information in hotel computer systems.
• Assign rooms based on guest preferences and availability.
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries professionally.
• Maintain cash handling and house bank responsibilities.
• Assist with luggage storage when needed.
• Communicate guest needs to other departments to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain front desk area cleanliness and organization.
• Support the team and assist with other duties as assigned.
