Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a friendly Guest Services Agent in Chicago to deliver exceptional guest experiences at the front desk. You will check guests in/out, provide information on hotel services, and handle calls with courtesy and efficiency.

The role requires basic cash handling, familiarity with Opera systems, and a willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior hospitality exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of hotel or retail customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• May be required to obtain ServSafe and TIPS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services.
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Process cash and credit transactions and reports.
• Upsell rooms when possible to maximize revenue.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies and communicate with the management team.
