Job summary

Shaner Hotels in Marathon, Florida is seeking a friendly front desk agent to deliver outstanding guest service. You will greet guests, check them in and out, answer questions, and provide information about local attractions with a welcoming smile.

Responsibilities include handling payments, processing incidents per hotel policy, coordinating with housekeeping, and generating daily reports. A high school diploma and one year of customer service experience are preferred; bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
• Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
• Provide superior guest services during check-in/check-out and other duties as assigned.
