Job summary

Global Partners LP in Connecticut is seeking a Guest Service Associate to deliver top-notch guest experiences while supporting store operations. You will greet customers, assist with purchases, and help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked store environment.

This role requires flexible hours, basic computer skills, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. You will operate the POS, check in vendors, and support onboarding for new hires as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work flexible hours including day, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outdoors, coolers, etc.).
• Ability to climb ladders & stairs, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store (selling floor, stock area, register).
• Ability to count, read and write accurately to complete required paperwork.
• Support GSA onboarding and training.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience.
• Adhere to safety, security, quality and store policies and practices.
• Operate the point of sale; manage cash, lottery, and tobacco levels.
• Complete store housekeeping tasks (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash).
• Replenish products and supplies to maintain in-stock conditions.
• Communicate guest requests and vendor concerns to management.
• Check in external and internal vendors.
• Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Minors may ONLY use OSHA approved knives.
