Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Guest Service Associate in Newtown, CT to greet guests and ensure a positive shopping experience while handling store tasks and safety procedures. The role supports tasks from stocking to customer service and POS operations, with a flexible schedule and local store responsibilities.

The position requires the ability to perform basic computer functions, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in various temperatures.

Qualifications

• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including day, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outdoors, cooler, etc.).
• Ability to climb ladders & stairs, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone.
• Adhere to established safety, security, quality and store operations policies and practices.
• Operate the point of sale per corporate standards; maintain proper cash, lottery, tobacco levels.
• Complete all store housekeeping functions (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash).
• Replenish products and supplies ensuring in-stock conditions at all times.
• Communicate with store management regarding guest requests and vendor-related concerns.
• Check in external and internal vendors per guidelines.
• Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects assigned by management.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Minors may ONLY use OSHA approved knives.
