Job summary

Global Partners LP in New Canaan, CT seeks a Guest Service Associate to greet guests and ensure a positive shopping experience while supporting store operations.

You will follow safety and cash handling procedures, perform housekeeping, replenish stock, assist vendors, and participate in onboarding for new hires. The role requires flexibility for shifts, basic computer use, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures outside, in cooler, etc.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Perform duties in a timely manner.
• Ability to count, read and write accurately to complete required paperwork.
• Support GSA onboarding and training.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for everyone.
• Adhere to safety, security, quality and store policies and practices.
• Operate the point of sale and maintain cash, lottery, and tobacco levels.
• Complete all store housekeeping functions.
• Replenish products and supplies to maintain in-stock conditions.
• Communicate with store management regarding guest requests and vendor-related concerns.
• Check in external and internal vendors as per guidelines.
• Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects assigned by management.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Minors may only use OSHA approved knives.
