Job summary

Kampgrounds of America, Inc. KOA in Bar Harbor, ME is seeking a Guest Service Representative to warmly greet guests, register arrivals, issue keys, and help keep our store organized and well-stocked.

You will assist guests before arrival and during their stay, ensuring smooth check-ins and accurate payments. The role requires strong English communication, reliability, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced outdoor hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage conflicts.
• Working knowledge of standard operational procedures.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle guest information discreetly.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the front desk in line with KOA standards.
• Resolve guest concerns with courtesy while maintaining campground standards.
• Prepare shift-related reports and downtime logs as required.
• Answer inquiries about campground amenities and local attractions.
• Ensure timely logging and delivery of messages, packages and mail.
• Coordinate with colleagues and other departments, using radio etiquette.
• Follow cash handling procedures and maintain accuracy in the drawer.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store displays and inventory.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling and ancillary services.
